5 months

Greyson turned 5 months yesterday! I can't believe it! He is getting Huge so fast!! Everyone always tells me how big he is!! I have a friend who has a 13 month old and Greyson is only 2 pounds heavier than her! (also that's going by his weight that he was as of a month ago! So he probably weighs more than her now). A month ago he weighed 17 pounds, 2 months ago we was 2 feet tall and 13 pounds 9 ounces. He wears 6-9 month clothing and I am constantly putting clothes in the box of clothes too small for him! Next I will be pulling from the 12 month box! So crazy!



He rolls from his back to his tummy then gets frustrated because he can't roll to his back again!


He is such a sweet baby and has the cutest smile and laugh!
We love him and are so blessed to have his wonderful spirit in our home!

Easter

Last Sunday was General Conference which was wonderful!! I love Conference! I can't wait to read those talks! They were all so amazing, plus with kids I didn't catch it all but I did watch all 4 sessions and was lucky to see almost all of it :) After it was over we colored Easter Eggs :)

We had such a wonderful Easter with just our family of 4!


We woke up and Denny made breakfast, we all got ready for church, then Jayden saw her Easter basket and she only got to hold it for a picture or two then I put a couple things in my bag to keep her busy at church. We had a wonderful time at church and then we came home Jayden got to finish going through her basket!


Then had lunch, watched 'Cars 2' and ate popcorn. Then we did some laundry (we always do laundry on a day that Denny has off because we have to walk a little ways to the laundry room so something I can't do with 2 kids! I can take Jayden with me which I did on Sunday! Not so fun with it being so far away.. Plus side-I was able to do 5 loads of laundry in less than 2 hours!) we cleaned and just spent time together. We did FaceTime with my parents, Denny's sister and her family as well as his brother Doug, Benson and his mom who were all together :)


Today we has Family Night and talked to Jayden again about what Easter is and what it really means. I hope that we will always remember what it's really about! I do love the Easter baskets and will never stop doing them! I would love as the years go by to put things in that are more church related! :)


Once we were home I realized I forgot to ask someone at church to take a picture of our family! So I only have pictures of the kids!

Jayden turns 3

Jayden turned 3 last Thursday! Denny made sure that it was his day off and we spent the whole day together celebrating Jayden's birthday!


We had a very fun day we went and saw The Lorax and Jayden said it was awesome! Then we went to lunch at a sandwich place close to the theater then went to Chuck E Cheese's. We had so much fun! It was great to have Ann, Mike and their boys joining us for all of that! Jayden loved it and it was such a fun day.


When we got home just our little family had cupcakes, which is what Jayden asked for. Chocolate cupcakes with frosting :) Jayden ate 2, but only the frosting. Such a silly girl!


All about Jayden:
*She is very animated and has so many expressions! :)
*She is funny and silly and LOVES attention.


*She is outgoing, loving, sensitive, and has a wonderful imagination!
*She loves talking FaceTime or Skype with family!
*She loves watching movies and asks to watch woovies all the time!!
*She calls cucumbers cutecumbers.
* loves getting her finger and toe nails painted :)


*Loves her baby brother Greyson :)


*Is a Daddy's girl! ;)
*Asks almost daily to go to the mall!
*Loves Costco and Target.
*Loves playing at the park.
*Loves to play on the beach in the sand and play in the water.
(when Jayden cries about things that she shouldn't be crying about. I tell her "don't cry about it.") Yesterday Greyson was crying and she says: "Greyson is crying about it!" then today she told me, "Greyson is crying about it again!" haha so funny

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving with Grandma (Shirleen) Bland, Mike, Ann, Mitchell and Jarom Collins. Mike and Ann had us over for a wonderful dinner! Grandma made rolls, Denny made creamed corn and then Ann made the rest! It was all so very wonderful and we are so glad that we got to spend the day with them, watching football, eating lots of yummy food and enjoying our day with wonderful family!

11 days old

We have been loving being a family of 4, a lot more busy, but it's been wonderful. Jayden is just loving being a big sister! My mom is here helping still and it's been so nice to have her here to help with the kids and me! My recovery this time around has been a lot better than it was with the recovery after I had Jayden. So thankful for that! Glad we were all able to make it to church today! Jayden loved being able to go to nursery :)

Family of 4

Greyson Lee Collins was born via C-Section on Wednesday November 9th @ 9:40am! We are thrilled to have him here he is just perfect!!

Jayden loves being a big sister and is so sweet with the baby!!

Jayden and Grandma Bland came in and got to see Greyson while I was in recovery so they got to see him before I did! Lucky them!!

I had a scheduled C-Section and after they gave me the spinal tap and had made the incision, I could start feeling what felt like needle pricks so I told the anesthesiologist and he just told me to tell him if it gets worse, tugging and pulling are normal to feel which I could but it was really hurting, so after me continuing to feel lots of pain which got continually worse he gave something to knock me out. (Denny said it all happened really quickly and that I wasn't complaining of pain long, but in the moment for me if felt like it was a long time.)

I stayed in recovery for 2 hours.

We were able to go home today :) This picture was taken today (Friday November 11th and he is 3 days old)

Right before we left for the car :) We are loving being a family of 4!!

DISNEYLAND!!

We went to DISNEYLAND!! It was so much fun!! Grandma Bland took us! Denny hadn't been in 19 years, me in 21 years and it was Jayden's first time! We are lucky to live so close, but it hasn't been in our budget to go! So this was such a fun thing!! WE ALL LOVED IT! It did rain and we had to get ponchos to keep us dry, it was like we spent a day in Oregon!! Nice we were able to go before Greyson arrives!!

Jayden was soo happy and excited to see Minnie Mouse! She was just all smiles and laughter!! It was seriously the cutest thing ever!!

Getting ready to check out Disneyland! Denny pushed me around in a wheelchair since I wouldn't last walking for very long and we don't need me going into labor early! Grandma pushed Jayden in the stroller (most of the time she walked and had her monkey harness on, for a while she sat on my lap in the wheelchair. She was sleepy but never fell asleep! Too much to see!)

We went on rides and got to see lots of fun stuff! Wish we could spend days there getting to see and do everything!! Jayden had a blast!!

I hope we get to come back again soon since we only live about an hour away!!
